The Top 6 Reasons to Automate Your Business

There are literally dozens of ways for you to stay in front of your potential customers. One of the biggest things you can do is set up your website for your customers to get listings or product information from you. They can fill out the lead form and you use that contact information to send them information via a consistent and informative campaign that is AUTOMATED.

TOP 6 REASONS TO AUTOMATE YOUR BUSINESS Some of these reasons are going to be really obvious and some of them are going to turn a light bulb on over your head 💡.

  • Reason #1 Get all your prospects in one place In sales, you may have many different resources for lead generation. It is not unusual for salespeople to even have two or three different CRM’s with leads coming in from different sources.  It’s also not unusual that they don’t like to use the other CRM’s for anything other than capturing leads. This happens a lot.  With that said, it is very important to get them off your Post-Its, napkins, random sheets of paper, the back of your checkbook, handwritten forms from your open houses or conventions, and Excel or Google spreadsheets. Your leads need to get in one place in order to automate correctly so that you can stay in front of your customers long-term even after a conversion completes

  • Reason #2 Generate Leads. Believe it or not when you automate you will generate leads. Check out my last blog to see the five steps to this lead conversion when you automate.

  • Reason #3 Stay Top of Mind and Get Repeat and Referral Business Back in the day generating leads and completing sales was about running around, opening doors, and constantly being on the phone. Nowadays you can do everything on-line and stay on top of your business without even having to leave your desk. You can stay Top of Mind and in front of those customers who love you with the simple click of a button.

  • Reason #4 Identify Warm and Hot Business When you automate you will have the ability to identify the warm and hot business in your database. Having a drip campaign is really not so much a benefit for your consumer, but it is a huge benefit to you. When it is done correctly you will see the engagement that is going on at that very moment. If you have the right CRM that is tracking when emails get opened and when links get clicked you can pinpoint who you need to spend time with that day or that week.

  • Reason #5 Organically Increase Online Visibility Online visibility happens as a result of your drip campaign. If you are sending out relative information you will automatically drive people back to your website. The bottom line is that every single lead you have needs to be receiving something from you to increase that visibility.

  • Reason #6 Balance Your Personal and Business Life Hopefully, you are doing or planning on doing a lot of business. If you are then it is almost impossible to try and do it all. If your systems are automated you will feel confident enough to take a breather and let your CRM system do the work.

Just a little side note from some personal experience:

If you can't be on the phone for a specific time frame - let’s say dinner time with your family. I would suggest making a special voicemail for that time - “Hi there. I’m sorry I missed you today. If you’ve called me during my family time between 5 and 7pm you have reached me during my family time. Please leave a message and I will return your phone call tomorrow.”

You’ll be absolutely shocked and amazed by the positive response you’ll receive from customers. Even though they don’t really want to wait to hear from you, they really do respect your right to privacy and in fact, will trust you more because of it. It’s just a simple gesture that will actually go a long way.

The Five Most Important Steps to Take with Every Lead - A CRM is the Way to Go!

Before people start any kind of online purchase, as many as 98% of people do research. So with that said, if you are not on the internet via website, social platforms or email blasting - you are most definitely missing the boat. For example, according to NAR 48% of agents do not respond to their internet leads. Why in the world would you spend money on leads from Zillow, FaceBook ads or any other service and not respond or taking days to respond back. The fact is, the consumer is most likely to work exclusively with the agent who responds first. Don’t you want to be that person? Remember, it can not be just a one-time response. You have to stay in front of them long term. The thing that frightens me is that there are people out there spending a lot of money getting their leads and then working those leads off an Excel spreadsheet. Whether you are spending $500 or $5k on lead generation you must have a follow-up system in place. Just imagine how much more you could do if you were set up...

The Power of Lead Magnets for Lead Generation -

How do you create more leads for yourself? Well, with Lead Magnets of course! We all know that closing sales requires leads, no matter the product or service . Lead generation for most businesses, but especially in the real estate world, is always a numbers game. Did you know that the average agent closes less than 3% of their leads? So.. YES... it’s a numbers game and the more leads we have the more chance we have of closing more sale transactions. The real estate business can be like a roller coaster. While you are busying working IN IT , you don't have time to work ON IT to build up your pipeline of future buyers and sellers. This means you have to have the lead machine and follow-up plan running like a well-oiled car traveling cross-country and then back again. You really have no time to stop, except to get gas (aka leads) or the pipeline will dry up. Maybe your life as an agent is like this graph below. In fact, I'll bet your life most likely suffers from the up...
